Rachel Barbra Berry is the main character in Glee. It's a 19 year old Jewish girl , a former student of William McKinley High School and former captain of New Directions .

In Lima , Ohio , Rachel was considered an unpopular girl by the other students for caring about trivial issues and being very controlling. It is the only of all the characters which stated birth is December 18, 1994 , this was mentioned in Dream On when Jesse St. James pretends to help find his mother . She is typically very competitive and always want to have that in which she believes is the best ( almost all) , but in a very nice person . She is best known for being the largest recipient " slushies " in the face. Raised by two gay fathers , Hiram and Leroy Berry Berry , and contact with her biological mother , Shelby Corcoran . Both she and her mother believe you were born to be stars , also both like the golden star symbol . In Theatricality Shelby gives Rachel a glass that has a star, saying " the golden stars are mine."

Rachel shows up in the pilot episode has been interested in Music Performance Art since I was three years old, and his signature is always followed by a gold star , and always says: The stars are mine [ ... ] is a metaphor , and metaphors are important. Rachel is extremely talented and has no qualms about mentioning this virtue , whenever possible , and even if you can not do. Rachel is introduced in Pilot , in which she makes the former director of the Glee Club , Sandy Ryerson is dismissed because of an accusation made by it of inappropriately touching a student. The Rachel diva personality can be clearly seen during the episode when he gives details of all the skills that won , and when stresses that his first dance competition was won by 3 months of age. When auditions for Will Schuester , Rachel performs the song On My Own from the musical Les Miserables , and as soon as he finishes singing, before hearing anything more , ask when they start testing, assuming that it has been fully checked.
